From layering for 20°C swings to the medication you shouldn't forget — pack like a seasoned Himalayan traveller.
Ladakh's beauty comes with extremes — searing sun by day, freezing nights, and air with far less oxygen. Pack right and you'll be comfortable; pack wrong and you'll spend the trip catching up.
Think in layers: thermal base layers, a fleece mid-layer, and a windproof shell. Temperatures can swing 20°C between noon and midnight, so versatility beats bulk.
Sun protection is non-negotiable at altitude — high-SPF sunscreen, lip balm, UV sunglasses and a wide-brim hat. The thin air offers little protection from UV.
Carry any prescribed altitude medication, stay relentlessly hydrated, and give yourself the full acclimatisation day. Our trips build this in — please don't skip it.
