Perched at 1,000 m in the Sahyadri range on the Gujarat–Maharashtra border, Saputara is the state's only hill station — a cool, green retreat of forested ridges, a boating lake and terraced gardens. Sunrise and sunset points crown the surrounding hills, the Saputara Tribal Museum and Rose, Step and Lake-View gardens fill the plateau, and the spectacular Gira Waterfall thunders nearby. By night the campsites come alive with bonfires, Garba and homemade Dangi food.
