Trip overview

This Saurashtra circuit links three of western India's most loved coastal pilgrimages in one easy loop from Ahmedabad. You travel out overnight, wake in Dwarka for the kingdom of Lord Krishna — the Dwarkadhish Temple aarti, the island of Beyt Dwarka and the Nageshwar Jyotirling — then trace the coast south through Porbandar to the sea-edge Somnath Jyotirling, the first of the twelve. The journey finishes on the breezy former-Portuguese island of Diu, with its hilltop fort, the sea-cave Gangeshwar Mahadev temple and the palm-fringed sands of Nagoa Beach, before an overnight drive back. Roughly 450 km / 9 hours each way, the trip is run by AC coach with hotel stays through the middle nights. Indicative price ₹9,999 per person; 5% GST applies.
